Hide the widget borders

By default, iOS26 adds “glass” borders around the widgets. Follow these steps to minimize the effect.


Light mode instructions

Settings > Display & Brightness > Light Mode.

Set the wallpaper:

  1. Press and hold on this image. Save to Photos.

  2. Go to home screen. Press and hold.

  3. Tap Edit > Edit Wallpaper.

  4. Set the new wallpaper.

  5. Turn Blur off.

Within Blank Spaces app:

  1. Tap the paintbrush icon at the top right.

  2. Set “Text color” to Dark.

  3. Set “Widget color” to Light.


Dark mode instructions

Settings > Display & Brightness > Dark Mode.

Set the wallpaper:

  1. Press and hold on this image. Save to Photos.

  2. Go to home screen. Press and hold.

  3. Tap Edit > Edit Wallpaper.

  4. Set the new wallpaper.

  5. Turn Blur off.

On Home Screen:

  1. Press and hold on Home Screen. Tap Edit > Customize.

  2. Switch to Large Icon Mode (by pressing the “large” square at the top right).

In Settings app:

  1. Open Settings. Tap Accessibility > Motion.

  2. Turn on Reduce Motion.

Within Blank Spaces app:

  1. Tap the paintbrush at the top right.

  2. Set “Text color” to Light.

  3. Set “Widget color” to Dark.
